How to Invite a Female Friend out for Coffee Without Her Thinking That You’re Interested in Her Any More Than As a Friend
1. Number one rule is that, never ever treat your female friend as one of the guys - no matter what. Every girl wants to be acknowledged as a pretty girl. And you are a guy taking a pretty girl out for a cup of coffee. You should compliment on her dress, hair, or general appearance as a gentleman would.
2. But make sure she does not feel “special.” She should get the idea that that you always go out for coffee with friends. Talk about other mutual female friends that you also have coffee/study/play games with. Say things like ” I come to this place often with Linda and John…” etc.
3. Subtly hint at the fact that you find totally different types of girls attractive. For example, if she’s long hair, your favorite should be short hair; if she’s petite you hint that you like tall, athletic girls, and vice versa.
4. Focus on your friend, your conversation, latest gossips, whatever the issue is. Do not try too hard to give the impression that you are trying to get her to think that she is nothing more than a friend. She WILL get it no matter what. Pointing it out to her that you think of her only as a friend will be offensive.
5. Remember that women are very sensitive and perceptive. She probably already knows that you guys are only friends. So don’t do or say anything unusual. If it is the first time you are going out for a coffee, very subtly try one of the tricks above, but that should be it
